Back story:
This summer I was healing from a lot. A miscarriage, the removal of my left ovary, the closure of my shop, and much more. For weeks, I wasn't able to work or drive, so I spent the entire day most days sitting in my back yard or front porch, listening to the roar of the cicadas. Then, I started thinking about how similar were are...I and the cicada...Underground asleep for many years until breaking free from that old shell and flying high up into the trees with a loud song to sing.
