Currently: In Residency at Hotel Kansas City
Working on a new collection live in the hotel every Thurs and Fri - STILL RIPENING - of original paintings inspired by fruit that thrives in the cold dark winter season. This collection will go up in a 1-night exhibition at Hotel Kansas City on Valentine's Day from 2-5pm! And, any remaining available pieces will be up for sale on my website. Email me at hello@hayleysantell.com to inquire about pre-ordering a piece from this collection before they're on public exhibition.
The Slow Drip : Art + Social Club at Hotel KC
KC, I’m introducing something new ✨
The Slow Drip is a new spin on my art classes —where slow beats, colorful strokes, and good energy meet.
- We'll learn no pressure watercolor techniques
- Slow jams in the background
- Atmosphere over instruction
- and a room full of adults who want something more than a bar night — and different than a typical art class.
Slow beats. Bold strokes. Good company.
A night for art, sound, and real connection.
I’ll be hosting The Slow Drip at Hotel Kansas City every 2nd Thursday of the month, with the first session on February 12th 🖤
And this is just the beginning —
The Slow Drip is growing into more soon:
DJ-led creative nights, a seasonal art subscription, and other slow, soulful ways to gather.

My debut poetry book
"Flying in the Dark" - a book of poems connecting us to the voices of nature's wisest guides. Associated with/connected to my newest collection of paintings.
My story: artwork inspired by nature's wisest guides and the scars that heal us.
My art practice dives into growth and wisdom taught by nature's wisest guides.
Early 2024 brought a series of storms my way. I grieved a miscarriage, endured a major surgery removing a large cyst and my left ovary, I closed the doors of my 10-year-old ethical fashion company, I fought for my marriage, and ultimately, I fought for myself. With loads of time as I recovered from surgery, I began really listening to the Sun, the Moon, the cicada songs, the wind in the trees as they glimmer and dance. And God's nature healed me. My art work is an ongoing lifetime study of nature and its ability to heal us, if we'll surrender.
